My first GP was 1975, my grandfather dropped me off at the corner two miles from the gate because traffic on the then two lane road was backed up as far. Then after the race I walked the same plus 1, to get to the pay phone to have him pick me up. I spent a lot of time at that track, raced open class till all my friends quit, now I drive by the grading and tiltups everyday....very sad..godspeed Jim
