Keith:
I was just funnin with ya. Double standards is alive and well in Uggville. How about at your place? In a way, I pity the 1st little boy that asks my daughter out for a date.
A couple of years ago, we were at Denny's on Kid's Night. Not only did the kid's eat for free, but they had entertainment for them too. We sat on the other side of the building from where they held it.
My daughter comes over to us, holding hands with this poor little boy, saying that he was her new boyfriend (she was 4 at the time). AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING HOLDING HER HAND? DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT KISSING! I then had my son escourt this poor sobbing kid back to his parents (I did go back and explain to them).
My own little girl was sobbing too, saying "Daddy, you not nice." My wife was in tears, laughing so hard, because I was saying things like she's (my daughter) not leaving the house alone until she's 35 and I'm going on her honeymoon, ect, in my best Daddy tones. My son too is being trained in martial arts and weapons so he could escourt her when I'm not able. ;>)
