Just went thru this a few months ago.
Even though the seller (and shipper) had a locating number, Parcel post packages arent tracked in their data bases.
I was told this by a post office worker.
Also, parcel post is the SLOWEST method to mail things, taking up to 60 days according to them before they feel "something went wrong" or its lost.
It could sit for days at a time in trucks, warehouses, etc.
From now on, I specify NO PARCEL POST and go so far as to insist on UPS or one of the other carriers.at the least when they insist on using the U.S. post office, I ask for some sort of tracking.
Parcel post cant be tracked.
