I just used the M37 to tow my trailer full of stuff across my big rocky creek and the small creek that has a real steep angle of approach and departure, and as always it did a fine job. Also drove up the creek and gravel bar a ways to take some sacks of cement to where I'm fixing up the bridge pier. It hauled itself up and over the pass (1000' in 2 miles), but my girlfriend commented on the significant cloud of blue smoke behind us when the engine was working hard. I suppose it could do with a ring job at some point. It had no air cleaner when I got it and compression's around 90 psi, so I'm sure it could stand to be freshened up. On the other hand, the engine is in about as good a condition as the rest of the rig, and it definitely can still do real work.
