Dang! I blew out a cheapo (Selectro) hub and the short rear axle shaft 14 miles from the house. Good thing I brought the bike, or I'd have been on the shoe leather express home.
Now to try Gordon Maney's iron wire "axle Lasso" to get the pieces out of the housing. Probably still be bushwacking if I had a ARB installed.
