I've dealt with about half a dozen sites that use an 'extension' period. It's like that "Going, Going, Gone" at a live auction. I have no problem, so long as I know what to expect.
Bruce should have put in a low bid earlier, just to make sure that he was all registered before he got serious about sniping at the last minute.
