What to take on vacation?

I am planning a trip to the Black Hills to so some off roading and camping. I have a 6x6 Pinz and my M37 in shape to do such a thing. It will be on a trailer of course as I am not tough enough to drive either of them that far. So, which should I take? I was thinking I can sleep in the Pinz easy enough and not have to set up a tent. Does anyone have any experience with the forest roads there? Thanks for your input.
