I was in a fire-fighting academy years ago, and they tried to help prepare us recruits for the terrible tragedy and loss that we would sometimes witness in doing our jobs. There were programs and psychiatrists and counselors and leaflets. But somehow for me it all came down to these few words of a certain Counselor whose Practice includes us all, and who never fails.
