A neighboring city had it's 4th of July celebration yesterday, and I put the WC-51 in. We took three vets with us, one of them from WWII still fit in his Eisenhower jacket and cap! The engine nearly overheated on the five mile drive over, but it had no trouble at idle through the parade route. It was a successful trial run, and I'm looking forward to the local parade here in Centerville on the 4th.
My thanks to everyone who has answered questions and offered advice over the last 18 months or so of restoration efforts. I'm sure I'll have a lot more questions when/if I rebuild the motor this winter.
