Tim, I asked Ray Suiter what the solution is and he said to either get an older chrysler 2 bolt starter and only use 2 bolts, or rotate the 3 bolt starter and drill and tap new holes. I've thought about every option and I think the 2 bolt starter has the wrong teeth on the gear, I think a ring gear change would have to be done. As for rotating the starter, I think you can't rotate it enough to get new holes far enough away from the originals. So I modified my starter by moving the solenoid back on the starter. It wasn't too bad of a job and it works fine. Course the only problem is when it craps out I'll have to modify the new one. Oh well, it would be nice to fine a starter that really works without modifications though.
