Consider terminating the steel tube on the firewall near the clutch slave cylinder. Then get a piece of brake hose with a fitting on one end to attach to the steel line and the other end screw into the slave. The engine is sitting on rubber isolation, and moving. Without a piece of flexable hose you 'could' eventually break the steel line. Rigid on the MC end is fine since the tube and MC are both rigid mounted.
