yup you need the longer studs. The rims should interlock inside each other at the lug holes as you will notice one lug hole is inward and the other outward. This is according to the 3 dual 1946 one ton WD21 trucks I have here at the house. Some of my rims are date coded 1950's era so I'm sure they are the same on the pilot house trucks as well.
