ndt tires

Ready to get tires for my PW. I really haven't herd any good about military NDT. Are they all that bad in snow? How about wet roads? I like the idea of the original type tire, but don't want to be sorry I bought them. Will probably be the only set I ever have to buy for this truck. Thanks for all input. John
