72-93 are essenstially the same, virtually all components will interchange, even the sheet metal (albeit minor bodylines) I'd aim for what looks good to you and not worry about the year per se. Set up similarly a 93 rides just as rough as a 72 in other words :)
Through '74 is the 205 but they're all divorced cases, from '75 - '79 is the 203, in all 1/2 through 1
tons. the 203 is a married cast case but is a chain drive fulltime. '79 through '93 one tons and 3/4's with a dana 60 or 61
front end got a married 205, which is gear drive and cast, all others got the aluminum 208. As a side note the 1/2's and
3/4's with a 44 front got 241's from '89-'93(aluminum case) Hope this helps somewhat.
