Eric, I'm out of the POWER WAGON scene for a few weeks.
Those of you with any military background will understand that I am bursting with pride when I tell you that my younger son (also a Dodge collector) was recently promoted to Lieutenant Colonel ahead of his peer group. He was also selected for a command - another really good thing.
His new unit is part of the Third Armored Cavalry Regiment. The 3ACR is moving to Fort Hood, so he, my daughter-in-law (also on active duty as a Major) and my grandchildren will all be nearby.
We are leaving Monday to go to Fort Carson, Colorado, for his change of command ceremony. Then, his father-in-law (another Dodge collector)and mother-in-law will come back to Texas with all of us for a family gathering.
As much as I want to attend some POWER WAGON events, this is about the greatest thing an old, retired soldier can have happen in his family.
P.S. Also, please note that I have changed my internet access to satellite and my new e-mail is txpwrwgn@wildblue.net
