One of my friends just bought a 79 powerwagon. The guy he got it from says he had a brand new tranny put in but it has been sitting for more then a year. After my fiasco with the fuel line on my ramcharger I helped him drop his tank clean it out and replace all the lines,belts and hoses since they were looking like they needed it. She fired up pretty good but no movement from the tranny. We checked the fliud level cold but she only ran for about 2 minutes total. we putit up on stands and put it in low (it's an automatic BTW) and put it in 4 wheel hi lock so that all four tires should turn but got no action. Is this normal for a 727 tranny not to run after sitting for a while? I don't know how to rebuild them but also he doesn't have the dough to take it some where and get the work done. Any advice would be helpful. I told him you guys were the best place to ask so please don't let me down.
