Put the truck in gear, jack up a rear wheel, and rotate it back and forth, using the lash in the drive train to your benefit. It works even better on tractors. You can get a lot of shock value by rotating a heavy wheel hard.
If you have to, remove the head and use fine sand paper to clean the cylinder walls above the pistons.
