Vacuum leak. Its getting its air to run from somewhere else. When you open the choke its too much air and dont run. But runs good on full choke. Might be a loose connection or screw somewhere on the carb or attachment to engine. Could be a wore out carb gasket or the internal rubber diaphram has a crack or hole it in.
