advice needed for Exhaust manifold install

Hi all,

Getting ready for the rally in VT.

need to change my 53 FFPW exhaust manifold.
Any Advice or things I should consider before I remove the old, cracked one??

I have the intake/exhaust gasket kit from VPW's.
