You must pull the freeze out plugs in the block. Esp. the rear ones.
All the sediment ends up in the back of block.
When I did mine took 1 1/2 gallons of sludge out.
Put new freeze out plugs in. use a premium anti freeze and change it every 2 years.
Make sure the weep hole on the water pump is not clogged.
LOL wear old clothes.
