Tonite disassembled clutch of long-dead w100. Disc was stuck to flywheel & pressure plate. Managed to separate. Disc has some wear but seems ususable???? Flywheel & pressure plate both had some light rust & clutch material on surfaces. Probably wrong, but I used very fine sand paper (metal) to clean off both surfaces. (First tried a die grinder w/ 3m gasket disc, but seemed to "polish" which I didn't think would be good??)) Anyway, the sandpaper left minute scatches, but seemed to clean pretty well. Was that a mistake and, if so, proper procedure??; or is it okay to clean and reuse plate & flywheel w/out resurfacing? Also, is it okay to use this clutch disc, or should I replace? Finally, any tricks to removing pilot bearing.

As always, thanks,
R. Rogers
