Car docter that is.Our in town "radiator specialist"wants us to bring him the truck,he's wanting to tackle this problem and I say "Go for iT!" (He sold us the 3 core new radiator we're using.)already boiled it out, rodded it out, gave us some ideas ect, but now he just wants to have the truck in his shop till he figures it out.fine with me .
we do run premium chevron gas in it,wich with fuel prices the way they are, its a good thing the ol'gas hogg is only used a few times a week & not our only vehicle.the tires are new but we stayed w/the original size, small- size 15's or 15.5's I think.the radiator cap is our 2nd one to try, and the primary driving use with this truck is to haul my 27ft gooseneck horse trailer, carrying up to 11,000 lbs full.It used to carry the same before our friend retired it & it came to us.now we're replacing everything we can,so it hauls my horses safely.we will drive on highway,up long grades,in the mountains in high elevations(grand canyon),on dirt,in stop & go traffic, and the only time it heats up is when that darned horse trailer is hooked up, even empty! we havent even been able to leave town yet to go all these places, but we'll get there~
and thank you a zillion for all the suggestions, I'll let you all know the verdict when its done :)
