I use to shift one of my hot rods at 7000 rpms with a solid fan. the idea that it will go thru the hood is just not true. There was no such thing as a clutch fan till the fifties or sixties. Power wagons have fixed fans and scream at highway speeds, what do you think most the noise is in a FFPW?
