Ends up being me... I like to know something is done right... and leaving it sand doesn't seem "right". But I do prefer the color so I think I'll give it a try and see if I can live with it. (I'm my own worst enemy).
I do appreciate the overall message of the post here, which seems to be "don't worry about it so much"... it will be a nice tribute no matter what color.
