I would say, it would be an honor for the family to have the truck restored to it's original glory no matter what the color. Unless you are a purists and want it to be 100% accurate, do what would be most enjoyable for you.
I would say 98% of the population who would ever see the truck will never know that the color is not correct for the 442nd...
