To help you along, go and find a copy of the movie "Go For Broke".
That would be great to do the truck back as 442nd vehicle, I have done that in the past when I have a vehicle with no know history. I get a Veteran (very easy to find in this area)who has a photo of himself with the type of truck I am restoring....my truck becomes the one in the photo.
I am not 100% sure on this, but I think you could be in the 442nd as an officer and not be Japanse American.
