Ok guys. I'm new at this and will have some questions. I bought a 1949 B1 from Dana in Nebraska and have finally found someone to deliver it for me, over a month later. By the way, I will never recommend All American Auto Transport, they STILL haven't found a truck to get my truck here. Thanks to vf4x for suggesting the tractor site, it worked. The truck will be picked up Monday and delivered Wednesday. I have bought a few books, the photo histories, and a parts manual to learn all I can so I don't pester you smart guys too much. I have become addicted to this site, again thanks to Dana, and am learning from some of it. I think the hardest part for me will be trying to keep the 49 as original as possible. Which brings me to this. For a 1949 B1, how far out can I go on parts and still be considered that year. ie are the lights for a 52 the same as a 49 etc. And one more for now. What was the function of the cowl lights? Thanks, and plese be patient with me, I want to learn as much as I can. I will be going to Hollister as it's only 2 hours away, hopefully with my own PW
