The TSP (Taconic State Parkway) from I-84 down to NY City is a old road, 2 lanes each way but designed in the 30's, stone curbs, etc. Some of the Stone Arch Bridges are low. Its not a high speed type road. From I-84 north to I-90 its a newer road and somewhat higher speed. Its no trucks for the entire length. In fact, they used to have signs at each enterence with a hugh list of things that were not allowed. This included Ambulances, Hearses, livestock.
Yet in NY, if you have a hard top on your Pickup, and have seats and seat belts bolted down in the rear, it can be licensed as a RV and then run with passanger type plates on the TSP.
