440 are raised bb 383 and 400 are just bb
440 intake are about 4 inches wider [becuase of this you know longer stroke makes it wider ] but there are several id marks on the block below the heads wire brush and brake clean wors wonders theres also one by the dist but there stamped and not cast in so ther hard to find under all the grime good luck chris
