There are two types of locking axle bearing nuts; 1 that has a cone tappered lip and the other that is 90 degrees out from the nut surface. Two reasons for the seal to leak:
1 The wheel bearings are out of adjustment. Tighten the nut 2-3 Feet lbs, then back the nut off 1/6 turn - use the axle hub studs for that.
2. If you used a leather seal, did you oil it? If not, the axle seal will tear in a short time causing it to leak. Soak a leather seal with 30w or 3 in 1 oil prior to installing.
