Anybody know what an "FWD" is?

Saw this ad in the paper today:
"Military FWD rolling chassis, no engine. Was used as skidder when gas was cheap. Has arch, no winch. Free. 263-2444"

The price is right, but I have no trailer, and no clue what it is, so there's the number if you want it.
