Great photo. I can see the wood block is used to spread the weight point (pointload), but it also looks like the wood could easily split along the grain and fall away. Probably what happened to mine.
It looks like in addition to the 1-9/16" block there is a rubber pad, probably the same 3/8" pads as used in the rear so the total clearance is 1-15/16" or 2" nominal.
So replacements if rubber would be 2" thick x 2-5/8" long x 4" wide with an 11/16" hole.
