I use a garden sprayer for my pressure vessel. It provides enough pressure for the whole system bleeding, but really won't pump up much more than 30 psi. It works great.
I once tried a heavy wall Nalgene vessel. I pressure tested it at 80 psi as a safety margin test, filled it with 1 gallon of brake fluid and began re-pressurizing it. It exploded at 40 psi and made one hell of a mess. I won't try that again.
