I just got back with my wife from an 800 mile trip to deliver 2 horses and their gear. I got 12.7 mpg fully loaded going down, and 15.5 coming home with the empty horse trailer. About double the mileage than I used to get pulling with a Ford gas truck with an automatic.
Also, the Jacobs exhaust brake I had installed a few weeks ago worked great. When we were in some congested high speed traffic it really decreased the need for me to be on the service brakes, as well as on descents from hills.
