Trouble getting 1948 PW title

I have been trying to get a title for my 1948 PW and the state of TX says I have to use the engine # instead of the VIN. The VIN # shows that it was manufactured in 1948 in Detroit, but this # cannot be use to title it since the engine # was used on titles until 1955. I need to find an offical list from Dodge showing when Power wagon with engine # P30102419 was manufactured. Is there such a list out there and can it be obtained?
