In the process of upgrading my car hauler to PW hauler status, I have chased down some larger used wheels for heavier rated tires. The bolt pattern is a perfect match, but the hole in the center is slightly larger than the stock wheel. The stock wheel center hole is a snug fit on the center hub--my would-be replacements have about 1/8" larger center hole. This means that the load will be carried by the studs alone. Is this a serious issue? Is it important that I find wheels that snug the hubs as orginals? ...or just tighten the lugs in a cross pattern sequence and check them from time to time when hauling?
