I know what you are saying Paul. Both my trailer and ff PW are full of parts from my Willys project. I also have a lot of parts in the 1st floor family room. I even keep the removed parts for quite awhile. It pays off. I was able to get several parts out of the junk pile which I needed to continue my work. Last night I went out and got a couple of support gussets that someone had removed from the replacement roof but were still on the original roof. Now to weld them in.
It seems that I also spend 2/3 of my time working and 1/3 cleaning up after myself. Every couple of hours I stop and put all the tools away. I get such a pile of tools after awhile I find it easier to put it all away and then start again pulling the tools I need. My garage floor is also at it's cleanest state when I am working. I keep sweeping it after I have been cutting and grinding. I really do not like laying or kneeling in the metal dust or shavings. Plus the most often used entrance to the house (for us)is through the garage and the wife sure gets on me if any metal curly cues get in the house.
