I need to know the differences between a 1953 P15 (plymouth car) flywheel/crankshaft and the 1960 P23 flywheel/crankshaft (1960 truck). I don't need to know exact dimensions but the general differences. The question at hand is I have installed a 1953 230 block in my 1960 D100 Panel and I need to provide a starter. It doesn't look like I will be able to use the 1960 starter. By looking at the '60 starter it appears to have a different "throw" (distance from bell housing flange to flywheel center and different drive gear) The drive gear would not be hard to replace, but finding the correct throw may be a problem. I really don't want to install the 6 volt starter from the '53 with floor switch.
