By far the easiest and "most professional" way is Ray Suiter's kit that uses the stock location, I think he has brackets for the flathead for Saginaw pumps.
Another way to do it is the following: install pump, install 2" hydraulic ram between bracket bolted to diff housing and tie-rod. Install modified Ford F700 drag link/hydraulic actuator between pitman arm and knuckle arm. It actually has decent feel, not over boosted.
I'd consider increasing caster angle 2 or even 4 degrees with STEEL (NOT ALUMINUM) caster wdges mounted properly between springs and axle housing, it can feel numb and centerless with stock +1.0 degree caster.
