Diesel, Dodge or Ford?

It is time for a new truck and we are considering the Dodge 2500/3500 and Ford F250/350 4X4 Diesels. For me it alone there would be no choice but when my wife saw the crew cab Lariat Ford she liked it. I does look good. I would like any advice that you experienced owners can offer. It is a whole lot of money either way.
