The adapter from bolock to bellhousing is sometimes called "flywheel housing". Perkins does supply an SAE#3 flywheel housing, so an SAE#3 beellhousing can be used. Many transmissions bolt to SAE#3. Most "mid-range" manuals use #2 or #3, also Allison automatics, I believe. In particular the Spicer 3053A goes to a #3. It's main virtue over other comparable 5spds is price: $450 here in Anchorage. it's a bit beefier than a NP540, about 1.5" longer than my Clark 280VO, about same height and width. I'be seen 5th gear ratios printed of 0.85 and 0.79. The other ratios are 5.90, 3.10, 1.70, 1.00 or close.
