I tried that. We are talking serious stuck here. I used a 1/2 inch breaker bar and a 4 foot cheater pipe. No soap. A smoke wrench took care of the problem. I managed to save the threads and the new nut went right on. A drill took care of the pins. You can tell it was ever stuck except for the nice shiney new nut on the stud.
I have to admit, I only wanted functional shocks but the bright yellow units really stand out on the black undercarriage.
