In between Trick or Treaters I found this:
John Vamos is correct - '48 & '49 are B1's, only '50 is a B2, no interior or exterior differences, serial numbers as he stated.
* A look at "Standard Catalog of 4 x 4's 1945-1993 indicates:
'48 & '49 B1: Same
'50 B2: Two new colors offered - black & granite gray. Still available in red, yellow, dark green, dark blue. "A new option was a hydraulic lift that enabled the Power Wagon owner to operate rear-mounted implements. Most three-point hitch implements could be attached or detached from a Power Wagon in about 60 seconds."
* A quick check of "Dodge Pickups - History & Restoration Guide" indicates model changes as follows:
'49 B1: Changed to a heavy-duty, four speed, spur gear transmission as used on one-and-a-half ton F models.
'50 B2: Four-blade radiator fan replaced six blade fan ("Std Cat" indicates this happened in 1951- who is correct ???).
