Chevy car, distibutor at rear of engine. I loosened the dizt without it running, then started it up to set timing. It was off a skosh, so, naturally, I reached back with my right hand to give her a twist. I grabbed he top, where the coil is, and got hit with 50,000 volts, compared to about 30K of the old pointed ones. It zapped me so bad, I yanked my arm back, hitting my elbow on the hood hinge- you guessed it, right on the ole funny bone. Which made me jerk my head upright, wacking it on the hood. ZAP-BANG-POW. I felt like the Joker on Bat Man. I never did get to like those new fangled systems.
