The Saginaw reverse rotation PS Box is not a problem. I use AGR Performance Power Steering Saginaw boxes converted with a 210 valve to give a better road feel. You can also get the Saginaw Boxes from NAPA. Keep in mind that any Saginaw box you may get from a junk yard will probably need a rebuild. You will need to mount the box inside the frame rail and will also need to mount a Power Steering Pump. Then you will need 2 PS hoses and a few fittings. Helitool did sell the kits. Now that they are not shipping, you will have to Fab the mounts. This is not difficult if you have the equipment. You mentioned 6 volt truck, this has no bearing as the PS does not require any electrical connection.
Remember you need a Reverse Rotation Saginaw Box. Without the reverse rotation, you turn the steering wheel to the right and the truck will go left. Great Thieft Deterent ha ha
If you had the mounts and everything ready to go, you can add PS in one Saturday. Its not a difficult job.
