Windshield Rubber Weatherstrip

Just wondering if anyone had some tips on replacing the front windshield rubber weatherstripping. The windshield is out and repainted, bought a new weathersrip from Vintage Powerwagon. I'm not sure if I should glue it on with it on the workbench, or try it in the truck and close the window to hold the weatherstrip in place. I'm guessing 3M weatherstrip adhesive?? Thanks in advance!
