6 volt system and overdrive solenoid

Folks on the forum have used the Dennan overdrive successfully with a 6 volt system (even though it is designed for 12 volt).
The only "problem" is that you must convert the truck to neg ground for the solenoid I have been told.
Is there a fairly easy way to get the solenoid to work without having to switch to a negative ground? My truck is stock 6 volt pos ground.
