I have pretty much finished the running gear and now am working on the sheet metal.
The doors were pretty easy, I used aircraft stripper and the paint came off without too much trouble. When I started on the cab, however, I discovered that someone in the past use a LOT of BOndo-like stuff on the metal under the primer/paint.
Nearly the entire top of the cab has it covering it. I started to use an abrasive disc to get it off and have not found that many dings, etc.
Could it have been applied for sound deadening or other reasons?
