I run 85W140 only because I have 20 gallons of MIL 2105E army surplus that I want to use up. I think it's really too thick. 75W90 would probably be better. Remember it's basically a 50 year old design so they didn't expect any high-performance lubricants. You probably wouldn't go wrong with regular old 90 weight, which I think is what the lube order states, if you're not trying to run in extreme low temperatures.
