Water distribution tube

Gents,

I have bought a 230ci water distribution tube from Memphis Equipment and I think it got crushed just past the water inlet as shown in the picture above. A second picture can be found in the link.

As I have never seen one, can you tell me if this is normal or should I return it for an exchange?
